Take Me To The River (AUDIOBOOK)

This is such a nice story, focus is on the two main characters, it’s nice to have that for a change, instead of an elaborate extended long story. Perfect weekend read! Book is well printed.

I've read a lot of the books in this series but this one is probably the most emotional. It is both sad, hard, heartwarming, and eventually happy. River is pregnant and her husband, Jason, was killed in action while serving in the military. Jason arraigned for River to be taken care of by his friend, Storm. River moves to Montana with Storm and lives in the mountains with his dogs. River is very emotional, understandably, after losing her husband. Now, River has to find a way to restart her life. Storm and his friends are there to support River. There is a simmering attraction between River and Storm but both don't want to betray the memory of Jason. River does take Storm to the edge, in more ways than one. It does have a happy ending that represents Jason and the relationship between River and Storm. It shows maybe there are more than one soul mate. A happy ending is out there, in a unconventional and unexpected way.I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily left this review.

Great read. Romance, off grid living and living off the land. What a great story. Can’t wait to read the next ones.

The writing isn’t perfect, but it’s still a cute book. It’s also a quick and easy read, I finished it in an evening. It’s a cute story overall

Great book

This is not high literature by any means, but it is a good, easy read. I liked the characters, and I also liked the peripheral characters. I believe we will see them again, and I’m looking forward to it. The writing is so-so, but the story is good, and you want the best for the characters. Other than the obligatory, nasty ex-boyfriend, the characters are people of good intent. Which means, they’re likable. I do recommend the book if you want to feel good type of book to read; there are a couple of trigger warnings: It you are squeamish about hunting, this book mentions hunting, so it might not be a good fit for you, but keep in mind the main character lives in the mountains. So hunting is never presented as anything other than a survival skill; it is never mentioned as fun, or for sport. The book is a little spicy; not a lot. I highly recommend it.

This is about gentle giant, reclusive Axel, and deserted in-the-woods, "Little One" Emelie. I accidentally read Book 2 before this Book, but I wasn't sorry at all- they were both great mountain man stories finding their wonderfully special women! (But it's better to read them in order.) I believe Axel is a little rougher than the sexy cover pic, but he sounds like a wonderfully strong and possessive gentle giant. And strong, independent, and loving Emelie is so perfect for him. I love that the ex got what's coming to him, too. So satisfying. The only surprise is how well both women take to living and hunting in the woods. Even though getting back to nature sounds peaceful, and I grew up camping for vacations as a kid, I'm not sure I'd be okay living as roughly as they are 24/7/365, but to each their own; right? I can't wait to read the other men's stories! Soooooo good!

This is a great book to read also keeps you interested you will finish it fast I also like that it a series to follow the other guys

I love this whole series and the characters. The two MCs fall "in love" just a tad quick after meeting for me, but I understand why the author chooses to write the story this way. This is a great feel-good book full of sexy, spicy love and comfort ... and "touch her and I kill you" vibes! 😁

Axle is the whole package wrapped around a heart of gold. Gentle giant with so much love to give. I also love his protective side 💜

A good story by a talented writer. Well worth the money. Only down side is the steamy scenes are short and vanilla for my taste. Meaning not a lot of details.

I really enjoyed the romance in this and how the woman was strong willed. Great read, I would recommend it especially if your looking for something quick to read with lots of sweet moments.

This book was a great palette cleanser. Such a sweet love story. Quick read, level 1 maybe level 2 spice with the sweetest man . I don’t always like and insta love story but I liked this one. Just so pure and wholesome. If your looking for dark and gritting this won’t be for you but if you love a man who will move mountains for you this will be you man.

Great, quick read, simple story…characters are endearing…story is warm hearted. I’ll definitely pick up the others for another good read.

The characters were great, but there were a few things that bothered me.Emelie and her boyfriend have taken a camping trip to the Montana mountains. While there, she discovers he’s been cheating on her. When she confronts him, he abandons her in the woods. No food, no water, no phone, it’s getting dark and a storm is moving in. She does the only thing she can. She starts walking for what she hopes is the highway. But it’s not. She finds herself next to a river. And a very large mountain man bathing in that river.Axel has lived a very simple life in his mountain home. He’s a very large man, and found that it’s easier being alone than scaring the people around him. (Apparently they are intimidated by his size, women especially) He’s comfortable, keeps himself busy hunting, trapping, making things to sell in town. Until Emelie stumbles upon him in the river.She throws everything he’s ever thought right out the window.She is not at all intimidated by his size. She finds it comforting and feels safe with him.He never thought anyone would be comfortable being with him and immediately wants her to stay.These two are immediately attracted to each other. Insta-lust if you will. It doesn’t take long before it moves into a physical relationship.Overall it’s a good story.I really liked both Axel and Emelie. I’m intrigued by this group of men living in the mountains.I was worried in the beginning that there wasn’t going to much story to this book. There was a lot of spice. If they weren’t thinking it (in great detail) they were doing it. I know, there’s not a lot to do in an isolated mountain cabin, but it was a lot. It does even out some towards the end.There was a lot of repeating. The same thoughts over and over.There were some inconsistencies with the chapters, and a few editing issues. Really great story lines - the back stories letting the reader know exactly why the characters are behaving as they do. Suspense and romance, and full on love stories - really great reads.

Great fast paced read. I only gave it 4 stars because there were a few things that’s bothered me. I actually really liked this book but I would’ve enjoyed it if it were longer and a bit slower paced. It felt rushed. The content was great and I think it could have been expanded upon. I also could’ve done without the extreme dirty talk. I love a good sex scene but the dirty talk was a little much and made me LOL a few times.

Although this was an instant love story and I’m usually sceptical, I loved it. The pacing was great and the characters were wonderful.

Love the storyline love the main characters except for the ex. There was a little comedy with this story and it made me laugh a little I like that. Love that Emelie embraces the people in Axel's life, and the way he lives and fines a place she didn't know she needed. With the person she fines she really needs.

I very much enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of them. Loved it very much

Loses track of time returns to the campsite to find out her boyfriend is gone. Seeks shelter from an impending storm.Looks for help stumbles upon a gorgeous mountain man bathing in the river. Spice level 3 out of 5.

Love this book so much, at first I was bummed it’s not on KU, waited a bit and purchased, I definitely don’t regret, he is such a sweetheart and amazing, can’t wait to read other books in series

Slight spoilers but nothing major to the story- Some things don’t really make sense in the book. I have some years of experience camping and hunting as a woman so some minor things didn’t add up to me. But even the regular person with no outdoors experience might find it odd that putting up a tent led the FL to have paper cut like cuts on her hands and her to have cuts on her ankles from walking through the woods (even though she was wearing jeans and shoes). So there’s a lot of spots where there’s stuff that doesn’t make sense. Also a few spots of spelling errors (like the wrong use of “to/too”, and some minor punctuation errors. But the plot is nice and the romance is good - no harmful misunderstandings and no love triangles. It’s definitely a ML who only has eyes for the FL- which I love. Overall if you can look past a few of the errors in the book, it makes for a nice and super quick romance read. (Also not super duper authentic mountain man but I like his personality)

What a wonderful story about a man who has moved to the mountains to get away from all the judgments of people. Suddenly a woman being thrust into his life, makes him feel and rethink everything. This story has become something that you will realize not to judge by what you see, it’s something that is in your heart and actions that will make you feel, and be who a person is. Beautiful story.♥️
